Linda Tivorsak Bird is an experienced trial attorney who focuses her practice on employment law and general civil litigation. In her employment law practice, she has defended employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and a variety of other claims arising out of the employment relationship. She assists employers through the EEOC process and has counseled school districts on personnel matters, disciplinary issues, and conducted termination hearings. In her civil litigation practice, Ms. Bird has represented trucking companies, bars, restaurants, and local and national businesses in premises liability, personal injury, and wrongful death cases.
In addition to her civil practice, Linda is also an experienced criminal defense attorney. She has successfully defended against and obtained injunctions against harassment for both individuals and workplaces, and represented individuals charged with all types of major non-capital felony offenses and misdemeanors. She has conducted over 35 criminal jury trials, hundreds of settlement conferences and has significant courtroom experience.
Linda is a proud graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, Yale University, and the University of Kansas School of Law. She has been an alumni interviewer for prospective Exeter and Yale students for over ten years and is the immediate past-President of the Yale Club of Phoenix. In her free time, Linda enjoys spending time with her family, long-distance (Ironman and half-Ironman) triathlons, running, swimming, paddleboarding, skiing, and following Kansas basketball. Linda is also fluent in conversational Thai.
