Jalana L. Commerford

Jalana L. Commerford has been a practicing attorney for over nine and a half years and is licensed in Arizona. Ms. Commerford's practice focuses on construction litigation and general commercial litigation with an emphasis on sustainable development and green building. She has represented both homeowners and developers in residential construction defect disputes. She has also represented owners, general contractors, and design professionals in construction litigation. Jalana has extensive experience in residential construction litigation.

Jalana is also a Leadership Energy Environmental Design "LEED" Accredited Professional with a specialty in building design and construction, possessing a thorough understanding of green building principles and practices and the LEED Rating System. Ms. Commerford's knowledge of the LEED Rating System allows her to assist and counsel clients who seek to design, construct, or renovate utilizing sustainable or green building practices.

Ms. Commerford received her Juris Doctor Degree from Arizona State University School of Law in 2000. In 1997 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University receiving her Bachelors of Arts in Humanities with an emphasis in Philosophy. She is also a Barrett Honors College Graduate.

Jalana spent the summer after her first year of law school in Cape Town, South Africa attending Howard University School of Law's International Summer Law Program. She attended classes in Human Rights and International Business Transactions at the University of Western Cape. An animal lover, Jalana went on safari in Zimbabwe during her stay in South Africa and currently enjoys traveling, scuba diving and culinary pleasures.
